y does the zephyr run with one engine facing fowards and one backwards where as most other trains they both face forward

When I rode in December, both engines were facing forward, on both trains east and west bound.

It just depends how they are hooked up. Much like sleeping cars. I've been on many trains where either or both were the same or not the same way!
