Amtrak has lower priority outside of the NEC. They don't control the rails, the freight companies do. That combined with the brutal weather would cause delays. All of this is normal for any long distance Amtrak trains.

Well, you gotta keep in mind, Amfleets came in two series: I and II. In which case, I would go with Amfleet II.

They do that to a lot of their single level long distance trains that I've noticed.

My Roomette door is usually closed or cracked open, depending on how far I am into the trip.

If they're in kennels, why put them in overhead? This goes back to the whole puking thing too. Pretty dangerous place for them too if one where all accidentally fall from to much movement of the animal and train.

Do you realize how bumpy Amtrak's lines can be? Couldn't even go to the bathroom straight one time. Pets will likely puke everywhere.
