Baggage and no-checked baggage stations

This does not compute! The Card is a LD,overnite train with a sleeper, the other two are one day trains going to the Carolinas! :wacko: You would think priority would be given to a train that is mostly sold out on the three days it runs and has High Bucket prices most days! Perhaps the Unions in NYC are the problem, not sure, but Amtrak needs to fix this ASAP! ;) (Perhaps if the train goes back to Superliners and starts in WAS this will solve this no sense policy!)

I suspect that it's more of a matter than Amtrak has a limited number of redcaps at that hour and is unwilling to bring in/hire another to deal with the Cardinal, especially since it only runs 3 days per week. Additionally, the other two trains have been running with checked baggage for a number of years, whereas the Cardinal change is recent.
