OK sorry again but will they consider a backpack a duffle bag
Is it a school backpack or a larger, hiking backpack?

If it's a school backpack, that's sort of like a purse or laptop bag. We bring one every time, along with two suitcases, a laptop bag, my purse, and a CVS bag full of snacks/alcohol. We've never been hassled, especially since we schlep everything on board ourselves. :)

It's a school kinda back pack with one strap that goes across your body I think it's called a sling bag

This is the key, Maricela. If you can carry it on yourself, nobody is going to hassle you, regardless of how many bags you have. As was mentioned previously, you can have a basically unlimited number of "personal items" of roughly a foot or so in size.

However, since you mentioned that you cannot lift your suitcase into a rack, you might want to consider how much you'll be bringing. At some point, since your station doesn't have checked luggage, you're going to have to move all this stuff around by yourself. As long as you can do that, the actual number of bags you have is probably going to be irrelevant. If you have so much stuff that you need a car attendant to help you get it onboard, then they will probably start looking at the baggage policy.
