I was staying overnight in Flagstaff Friday night and strolled into Flagstaff station after a concert, hoping to catch #3 around 10 p.m. It was running five hours late due to " a freight derailment in New Mexico. " Anyone know what happened?

Haven't found anything in the local news about this.
Even with heightened interest in rail, freight derailments usually don't make the news unless there is a catastrophe of some kind. If nothing blows up, catches fire, or kills people, and is hard to get to, no story.

Three freight cars derailed at Las Animas co.Pax were bused to Alb from Lamar. They arrived at Alb around 10:pm and loaded on the The earlier #4 which was turned and was now the #3.Pax from the #4 were bused to La junta.
