Back on Wednesday, I saw something I hadn't seen on a passenger train before; graffiti spray-painted on one of the cars. As Amtrak #6(25) was coming through Agency, Iowa, I noticed a sleeping car was substituting for the transition dormitory car behind the baggage car. This happens from time to time, so I was surprised when the last car was a trans dorm with graffiti spray-painted on its side. This is the same California Zephyr set that went west as #5(22). I happened to have have posted a video of it back here. You can see can see that trans dorm AMTK 39008 was being used in its usual spot, and that it didn't have graffiti on that side. Does the fact they moved it to the end of #6 mean something more happened to than getting spray-painted?
