Illinois Grade Crossing Accident

February 5, 2010 (WLS) -- An Amtrak train reportedly hit pedestrians at Conway Road just north of the Lake Forest station.

ABC7 Chicago is not told how many people have been injured. There is also no information on their conditions.

From the time of the report it is possibly train # 339. I think this 70 mph territory.

The 10 PM news reported that it was train 339 Hiawatha Service to Milwaukee traveling at 69 mph.

Two teenagers were on the right of way near a street crossing, male DOA and female Critical Condition.

According to the WGN report Friday night, it happened about 1/4 mile north of the station where they should not have been crossing.
