Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to eat lunch near union station in Chicago? We were thinking about a not too pricey place within walking distance. We will have about 2 hours. Thanks.

Try Beggars south west of the station great beefs and pizza

When waiting for a train at Chicago's Union Station we walk four blocks west to So Halstead street. That area is called Greektown and there are a load of restaurants and eating places there. For great Greek food the Greek Island is the place. If you like sandwiches, pizza or just want coffee at Starbucks they are all there. There is also a big supermarket, a CVS pharmacy and a couple of bakeries there as well.

Good Information. Thanks so much.

My recommendation is Boston Blackie's. It is a one block from the train station. I always ask an Amtrak employee which entrance to exit the train station. Once you get the directional exit the rest is easy. The lunch and dinner menu offers a wide variety of entree selections. They do get a good business crowd at lunch should come early if you have the time.
