I searched the forum and found the very helpful thread about meals on long-distance trains, but it didn't exactly answer my question:

I'm boarding CS southbound in PDX and it's right at the very tail end of the average lunch time period, even if the train is on time (Scheduled arrival 1:50PM, departure 2:25PM). Should I find lunch somewhere around the station?
