Service Attendant
I was scheduled to take 29 from Washington DC to Chicago tomorrow, but got the dreaded robo call advising of cancellation while I was walking the Mall.
It took over an hour on phone with Guest Rewards, but they found me space on Nov. 1 on 29 in room H and then moved me from 7 to a roomette on 27 directly to Portland. I'll miss the diner for the breakfast prior to arrival in Portland and have to suffer with the worst breakfast Amtrak offers.
Oh well, at least I'll get home.
I have to thank the Amtrak Guest Rewards folks in Riverside, CA. They did their best and I greatly appreciate it.
