I recently discovered this railcam of the La Plata, Mo station...

http://www.railcams.net/dotcom/lap/index.html

I would very much like to watch the SWC roll through some days but cannot figure out how to get the images to reload. It gets stuck on the image you first load and the only way I have figured how to refresh the image is to shut the browser down and restart. Anyone here have any ideas how to refresh?

Any other good railcams (free ones) where I can see Amtrak trains?

Make sure you have the latest version of Java, I had the same problem a while back.

My new problem is the new IT manager at work blocked the website and all I get is this:

"Content blocked by your organization Reason: This Websense category is filtered: Sex."

Guess they don't want me to see any of that hot train action!

For the USA this is the BEST Railcam website that I know of from Fremont, California.

This is located on the route of the Amtrak Capitol Corridor and Altamont Commuter Express passenger trains.

The Amtrak Coast Starlight SOMETIMES is routed through this station.

Amtrak 11 and 14 can use a different line and BYPASS this station:

Here is a Google MAP of the Amtrak Fremont Depot located in the Centerville District:

Sometimes the Coast Starlight is routed along the WEST side of ARDENWOOD park + thru MULFORD and misses this excellent webcam.

This Railcam has motion VIDEO with NO audio:

This is a TOP NOTCH and EXCELLENT Railcam from the Netherlands.

CAMERA 1 has complete LIVE VIDEO and AUDIO thru your "Windows Media Player"

An EXCELLENT Railcam DIRECTORY that is usually kept up to date is this European web site:

NEW listings on this page:

The USA Railcams are listed here on this most excellent european web directory:

The TOP page for that European Directory is located here:

it never works with me either i get Webcams at the Depot Inn Lookout Point are currently unavailable. and then just the 2 screen shots that never re-fresh or they re-fresh but the time stamp never changes.

ok updated java and it now also works. but why does it say the webcams at the depot in and suits are unavailable.
They go in and out of availability due to storms, or just equipment failure in general. They aren't the quickest to get them repaired and those two cameras are relatively new, they use to only have the ones at the station.
