I've fallen asleep for 2 hours before in the Chicago Metro lounge.I have dozed off sitting up, though the clubs/lounges Amtrak/Airline are safe, I always keep an ear tuned so deep sleep never happens for me. Besides, a quick 10 minute nap many times refreshes me for a few hours.
I fail to understand why this is an issue unless you are sleeping across an entire couch or you're about to miss a train. I'd be highly annoyed if someone interrupted my power nap.In WAS falling asleep yes but general sleeping, no. Have seen folks awakened by staff.
I have taken naps many times stretched out in a single seat. No problem. I have seen many others do so too. What is a no no is occupying more than one seat to stretch out.United Airlines states that sleeping is not allowed in their clubs. While I don't visit them often, I've never witnessed anyone sleeping, so I can't say for sure how strict they are on the policy.
