Switching from $$ to points on purchased ticket?

I booked a trip on the Zephyr and paid for it and then realized I have enough points. Is there any way to use points and get a credit back on my credit card? It's a sleeper reservation so I don't really want to cancel it out and start over (and what would the penalty be?).Thanks in advance.

According to Amtrak this is a cancel and rebook situation.
