We are taking an Easter trip to Boston on the LSL this Friday. Does anyone know how it has been running lately? I went to the amtrakdelays.com site and typed in BOS and train 48 but nothing came up.

On our return we are taking a regional train to DC and the Capital back home for a change of pace. I assume there is a Aceola Lounge there. Could someone tell me where it is in the station?

Thanks in advance for your help!

That could be because train #48 doesn't run to Boston, train #448 runs to Boston. Try plugging that number into the site and seeing if you get some results.

In DC the Club Acela Lounge is located behind the information kiosk, which is in the center of the waiting areas between gates D & E. There are two large wooden doors there, ring the bell to the right of the door and the attendant will let you in. Show your tickets and you’re in. They will escort you to your train when it’s time.

I frequently check the status of Amtrak trains in the long-distance market. The westbound lake shore 49 has been running early into chicago, and 48 has had very good on-time performance lately and on friday into saturday CSX freight traffic is fairly light. (the tracks the train runs on up to Poughkeepsie is CSX, it's metro-north until about yonkers, it becomes Amtrak trackage after that point)

Also ClubAcela's are located in Boston South Station, New York Penn Station, Philadelphia 30th Street Station, and Washington Union Station. To enter you press a button and the attendent will let you in. You then tell them your name or give them your tickets.

Hope your trip is well,
