what degree of success in getting missing points?

First time buying on Amtrak Gust Rewards "Mall", shopping portal. Apparently, privacy settings didn't allow AGR to track my purchase and so no points for 3 orders placed.

I contacted AGR and filed for missing points but to date, not so much as an acknowledgement from AGR.

Anybody else have this experience and what was your success in getting missing points posted to your account?

I have had to file for missing points several times. I always got them in the end. It can take several days for you to hear back the first time. After that, the back-and-forth (if necessary) should go quicker.

Do the clicks show up in your click record on AGR? As long as the clicks show up, you should eventually get the points.

I have had many experiences of missing points. I've filed the "Missing Points" form, the points show up as "pending" on my account while it is being investigated. In time, I've received all the points! :)

These have also included some large amounts - like over 4,000 points! :)

Do you enter first via the AGR portal, or directly thru the store's site? :huh: If the later, no points! :( Also, if you click off that site for some reason, no points are earned! :( I always re-enter the site via the portal just prior to the final checkout!

Thanks to all who wrote. I've found the "problem". (and the problem, in large part, was my computer ignorance and lack of computer skills)....

I was searching for pending points in the Amtrak Guest Rewards "Transactions" page when actually pending points and a record of purchases is a separate page altogether. If this had been made more clear and better disclosed it could have saved me (and perhaps others) much confusion and agrivation.

Again, THANKS! so much to those of you who took the time and trouble to write.

Well, where is it? I've never been able to find a record of professed 'pending points.' And I never knew of a record of 'clicks' on AGR. Does 'click's mean purchases?

As to the OP's question: No, I have never received points that I had to request. Twice I have given up.

Sign on to your AGR account. Click on the "Points for Shopping" link. Once on that site, click on "My Account" in the top right corner.
You will see many links. If you click on "Transaction", you will see all your purchases (both pending and approved). If you click on "Clicks", you will see the dates and times that you entered the shopping site via the AGR shopping portal.

About 98% successful excpet for Walgreens/ Drugstore.com. Those outfits are the pits.

FiIled for missing points and they posted as pending. On both buys "Points cancelled by merchant" was the result.

My transaction click showed at exactly the time and date of purchase. I sent a screen shot where the Amtrak AGR guest rewards tab was in the address bar. Its didn't make a difference. The points were declined and that was the end of the story. If thats they way this crummy retailer wants it, then I'll just shop elsewhere. I have never had a problem with any other retailer.

Just for reference, when you shop on the portal You must Turn off tracking protection and Turn Off Do not track requests. On IE it is in the safety menu. I do not know how this is done on Firefox.

My points from Drugstore.com have posted without any problems.
