Wow! Here is one person who would use it, especially if that train connects to Denver. That connects me to my whole family in Sprinfield and to my parents in Nashville. lol

Amtrak has to get new equipment soon. My question is if you placed an order for new cars, what would you like to see? Would you like to see the exterior be silver as the the other cars? Could wireless internet be a good choice? Would you like to see sleeper cars in diffrent configurations...

...crazy idea... but it dramatic messages might get dramatic results. What if Amtrak leased/rented other passenger equimpment from other railroads. Call me crazy but isn't the LIRR about to downsize a little, I know the Belmont Park service might be cut? Hell I could see some railroad musuems...

This is just very bothersome to me, because I am a republican. Let’s face it, republicans are mainly against rail and democrats don’t know how to finance or spend on rail! Maglev, I’m still not proven on how these lines make economic sense! I would rather see better track beds, better cars...

Well In the book I am reading by Rush Loving Jr, he comments on Amtrak's little boom. He comments on how Jim McClellan had crazy troubles starting Amtrak. Within a year ridership was up 15% and they didn't have the cars for it. McClellan did over step his bounds by attempting to get more cars...

When I was on it on Dec. 22 it ran late because it got slowed down going through The Sierra Nevadas and the baggage car broke outside Reno lol! I have no details except they filled the bottom of the last Superliner coach to account for it!

They make it sound like they have 10 tracks when it only has 3, and only 2 are used. Not to mention Amtrak also leaves a coach there for the Zephyrs between DEN-CHI and there is a spare locomotive on a siding at the station. I hope RTD doesn't use all the space because there will regular rail...

Nashville is growing much more then Memphis. My home town Franklin is honestly part of Nashville now is now the national headquarters for Nissan. It's so big I get lost easily in a place I grew up and moved from 2 years ago! Seriously bring back The Hummingbird!
