Anyone know what happened to #2 today? It seems to have been chugging along just fine until HOS/BMT when it suddenly went down almost 4 hrs.

What's the relationship between the car number written on my ticket and the actual car number? I noticed that all of the cars listed on OTOL are 5 digit numbers and the ones on my ticket are 4 digits. Is it the last 4 digits of the actual car #? Less than a month away from my lap of America!!

While true, don't know if you'll have time between the scheduled arrival of the Sunset at 8:40am and the departure of the Starlight at 10:15am. Don't let that discourage you from looking though. On a good day you can see it from 20-30 miles away if you know where to look.

I've seen the question out there 2 or 3 times but haven't noticed a response. When are the SAS stub changes going to take place or are they just an idea at this point? I also have thru-sleeper reservations on #2 in late June and the thought of having to roust my family at 11pm just suuuuuckss...

They must have to run catenary wire ahead of your train just to supply power to your room!
