Chase Amtrak Card and Apple Pay

Thanks for all the replies. To bring it back more on topic....we should figure out the fate of the Chase AGR card. If Chase is dumping Mastercard and going to Visa...will they just simply reissue cards? Or will folks reapply? Maybe an opportunity to get a new welcome point bonus. I forgot who...

Chase Amtrak Card and Apple Pay

For some reason, Chase is not supporting Apple Pay with their Mastercards, only Visa. Other banks with Mastercard support Apple Pay. I've called Chase and logged in some comments. The truth is that I'm using my Apple Pay cards more and more now. Thoughts? Anyone else interested in calling to...

    Vermonter Timetable Improvements

Hey guys, I just quickly checked the new timetable for the Vermonter and it appears to be almost identical to one from last summer. When will the 25-30 minutes of travel time reduction be added? Mike S.

    Shoebuy.com for the win....

Well, not until the points post. I needed to buy a bunch of shoes for working out and work. Spent 400 bucks and shoebuy give 14 points per dollar! 5,600 points! Mike S.

    Amtrak Shoppin

When you go to a merchant, you must first start at the AGR page/shopping mall, then click the link to the merchant. So essentially, you're brought to the Macy's webpage FROM AGR which probably embeds a cookie/etc. to let that website know who you are. Mike

What will be the first service to see travel time reductions from the

Simple question. Chicago - STL Service? Adirondack? Empire service (not likely since new 110mph track won't be installed until next year) Any ideas? Anyone seen first hand new/upgraded track being laid? Mike

Does Amtrak make money/revenue when customers use Guest Rewards Points

If figured I'd post here instead of in the GuestRewards section since this is more about Amtrak than the points. Basically, what I'm asking thinking: Is it good for Amtrak that people are traveling by rewards points? Now, certainly rewards points earned from Amtrak travel earns amtrak no...

Stoopid Me, I should have known the tix agent was.....

I have pretty strong feelings about this. Each time at a station that I've tried to get tickets at the quick trak machine, I've had an agent call me over to the window. I guess since I'm not really confrontational I've gone to the window. Bottom line is that they would rather print the ticket...

Asking for a onboard upgrade-that is rude?

My story...50/50 positive/negative. My partner and I were traveling from NYP to BUF in a roomette. We wanted to see about upgrading to a bedroom just to try it out. When the conductor collected our tickets outside of NYP we asked. He was very prompt and came back with a price. However, it was...

    Superliner Lake Shore

Anyone know what gives? They bumped some of my family members out of a roomette into coach. Now the train is sold out. Equipment shortage? Today's train was late. Does 48 turn into 49 the next day? How do they know they are short 2 days in advance. Guess I'm just bummed for them. *Just saw the...

What kind of GPS to use

Hey guys, I just got a Verizon Motorola Droid...which runs Google Andorid 2.0. It has gps with built in google maps/nav. Its wild...you don't even need a car gps as they make a mount for the window and it acts just like a car style GPS. But anyway, I'm gonna try it on the train in the next week...

shoebuy.com, 22 points per dollar, anyone tried this?

Shoebuy is GREAT. It is my policy to not just spend money to get points...unless I NEED to spend that money anyway. So, shoebuys STANDARD promo is 11 points per dollar..which is awesome. I missed the 22 point per dollar promo that ended at the end of the summer...I waiting for a new one. They...
