    Outlet types for Superliner Roomette

I'll definitely bring the appropriate extension cord with a couple of additional outlets. Also, my cell has a USB cable for charging. Just 3 more days until the trip!

    Outlet types for Superliner Roomette

Thanks a bunch. Glad to know that the laptop (3-pronged) will have power and that my two-pronged extension cord will be useful for charging the phone.

    Outlet types for Superliner Roomette

Hi all. I'll be taking my annual DC trip leaving Denver this Friday. Are the outlets in the Superliner Roomette 2 or 3 pronged?? I'm asking because I'm bringing my new laptop for the ride and would like to occasionally watch movies, browse the web, write a trip report as it happens, etc...

    Denver to DC and Back

Part 3: Chicago, IL to Washington, D.C. from 10-17-10 to 10-18-10 We boarded the CL shortly around 5:30 p.m. After boarding, I hopped in the shower for my first ever Amtrak shower experience. The shower didn't have much room, but it did the basic job of getting me clean after the CZ train...

World Series Radio/TV Onboard Texas Eagle

The lack of radio/TV is probably one of Amtrak's larger flaws as it'd be nice for us sports fans to catch up on the action instead of just a cell phone with spotty coverage.

    Denver to DC and Back

To Shanghai and WY Tin Man, thank you for the very nice comments. I guess we've never considered driving to Glenwood Springs, CO to connect and I imagine the cost can't be that much different than Denver. Anyways off to the next part of the report 2. Denver, CO to Chicago, IL aboard the CZ...

    Cross Country Trip (ORL-DEN-SEA-WGL-ORL)

If your hotel is across the street from the Denver Union Station, it sounds like you stayed at The Oxford Hotel, a very classy and great hotel!

Rough Summer for the California Zephyr

I'm also taking the Zephyr eastbound in October (get on in Denver) and immediately boarding the Capitol Limited to DC. I sure hope the waters of Iowa will subside enough by then.

    Pet peeves while riding amtrak

My only real pet peeve with Amtrak is the lack of Coca-Cola products. For coke lovers, it's very tough to go without. However, on my trip, I bought a 12 pack and had plenty with the ice in the sleeper car.

    Greetings from Wyoming

Thank you all for the friendly greetings! In response to an earlier query, I did book the trip already and am certainly looking forward to it. I can barely remember it was in the mid 1990's that Amtrak and Wyoming had a divorce . However I do remember in 1996 a train went through Wyoming...

Booking another person in a roomette after I've already booked

Greetings all. My dad and I will depart Denver to DC and back on October 16 (Saturday) and return to Denver on October 21 (Thursday) using the CZ and CL. We each booked separate roomettes (he had to book way early for his meetings where I was still unsure about getting time off). Anyways, my...
