An Amtrak puzzler for anyone interested. Train 3 departing Chicago on March 11 is "canceled" and replaced by train 1003. Who/what's to blame? (Hint: no inside knowledge is required)

Looks like 111, 127, and 129 southbound are canceled. Northbound, 110 and 184 got the nix. All are WAS-NYP Regionals. Also looks like 67 will be terminating at RVR as well. Didn't see any service advisories.

Before too long I'll need to transfer from the South Bend airport (actually the South Shore Line commuter stop) to the Amtrak station. Any suggestions, particularly for catching 30 which departs around 8:30pm? On weekdays a South Shore train arrives around 7:30pm. The one before that is 4pm.
